NEC Expands Food Assistance Program to Support More Elderly Persons

At Nazareth Elderly Care (NEC), we believe that no elderly person should go to bed hungry. As part of our Food Assistance Program, we have expanded our efforts to reach more elderly individuals who are struggling with food insecurity.

This month, our dedicated team and volunteers distributed nutritious food packages, including maize flour, beans, rice, cooking oil, and fresh vegetables, to over 200 elderly persons in Kiwoko and surrounding communities. For those who are frail and unable to cook, we continue to provide daily prepared meals, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need.

“Many elderly people in our community live alone and struggle to access regular meals. This initiative is not just about food; it’s about dignity and care,” said Daniel, NEC Program Coordinator.

With the support of our generous donors and partners, we hope to expand this program further and reach even more elderly individuals in need. If you would like to support this initiative, consider donating or volunteering with us.
